About Nanny McG
Hi, I’m Georgina, the face behind Nanny McG. I’m a fully qualified, Ofsted-registered nanny offering professional childcare services across West Sussex. My journey into childcare began in 2014, when I started my first nursery job as an apprentice. However, my experience with children started long before that. As the oldest of eight children, I naturally played a big role in caring for and helping to bring up my younger siblings, which sparked my love of working with children from an early age.
I hold a QCF Level 3 Diploma as an Early Years Educator, alongside qualifications in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding. I’m also a Level 3 OCN-qualified Sleep Consultant and was inspected by Ofsted in September 2023. I have experience caring for children from newborns onwards, including twins and children with additional needs. I have my own car, a full driving licence and both personal and business insurance, allowing me to take the children out and about and make the most of our days together.
Most importantly, I genuinely love what I do. I love getting to know each child as an individual, supporting their development and watching their confidence grow. I believe childcare should be fun, engaging and tailored to each child, whether we’re enjoying sensory play, baking together, heading out for a day of adventures or going swimming. One of the most special parts of being a nanny is the relationships you build with the children and their families. In 2025, four of my former nanny children, who are now also my godchildren, had the very special roles of flower girls and page boys at my wedding - a lovely reminder of just how special those relationships can become!
